Solved whatsapp button

Hello ruud,
tahnks for the plugin and sorry for my english not too good.
I will advertise yor plugin to my friends because it works very good.
I have a question on whatsapp button.
I see it only on mobile device but if i press the button Whatsapp i have a blank page.
What i have to do for run whatsapp application?

The button shows only on mobile devices, the reason is because on a tablet or desktop you cannot install the whatsapp app / application.
If you want to show the button on all devices then you can (in Advance tab) disable mobile detection.

The button will show on all mobile devices, but the button will only work on mobile devices where the whatsapp app IS installed.
Do you have whatsapp installed on the mobile device that you are testing the button on?

yes i have whastapp.
I tested the button with my samsung mobile device where i use whatsapp every day but when i click the button i have a blank internet page and not the possibility to send an article with whatsapp

Hi Alberto, do you have a link to your website (article with jssocials buttons)? So I can check what is wrong?

the site is www.alvinweb.it then yuo can select "SERVIZI" an than a voice of that menù you want.
Your plugin is visible at the top and at the bottom of the article.

found it, tested it and it works...
so must be something in your mobile device / whatsapp.
I have tried with my Samsung S2 Android 5.1.1. Both with Firefox and Stock browser.
See screen capture of device + whatapp + your site.
( I click the button, white page appears.... wait.... Whatsapp is started and asks me to whom to sent... I click contact and get the link / text in message to this contact)

To know for sure if it is your device that is not working you could do 2 tests:
1. via your mobile on this site click the whatsapp button > does it work?
2. ask a friend to test the whatsapp button on your site > does it work?

now after your recommended I tested it on the default browser and it works good, i tested with google chrome and it's works good probably the problem is that the button not works too good with CM Browser ( play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ksmobile.cb&hl=it) so i think that the problems is the incompatibility with this browser that in italy is used

so problem is in browser which does not handle or know what to do about 'whatsapp url prefix > whatsapp://send?text=xyz'
Nothing I can do about that as I cannot change the browser behaviour

Good to know is that it works for everybody who doesn't use that specific browser :woohoo:

If i use this browser whit www.gazzetta.it and select any article there is a whatsapp button that works good with CM browser so i'm not shure that is the browser that don't know what to do about 'whatsapp url prefix > whatsapp://send?text=xyz'
