Bug: Unable to save changes in address field was created by Dmitrijs Rekuns
Hi Ruud,
I noticed that users cannot change data in profile at our site.
I made tests - the name can be changed. but when I change address field (street), the old value remains after the save.
So, I cannot change address field. Other fields wasn't tested.
The same issue goes on your site too.

Regards,

Hi,

so this was reported a long time ago, but we where not able to reproduce.
Now I finally found it: this is a Joomla 4 specific issue (another not reported changed behavior with the Input class)

Fixed and will be in next version. In first post is an updated test version for your.

Thanks for reporting!

have a nice weekend (what is left of it :))

regards,
Ruud.

PS: fix is in system plugin

Hi Ruud!
Thanks for the quick response.
I have been installed the plugin taken from your repository (link above) on dev site, but it takes no effect. Still the same issue...

Regards,
Eugene

okay,
just to be sure: you downloaded and installed the system plugin I provided?

plg_system_ochsubscriptions-3.4.2.DEV-20221204-1101.zip

the system plugin checks if the data posted comes from: com_users, profile (view), save (task).
Are you using the the com_users profile view to update the user information or are you using a different / custom one?

Yes, I installed 3.4.2.DEV-20221204-1101 version.
I also checked out with Cassiopeia to make sure it works with the default template.

But still no changes with data after profile save...

Okay, then the only thing that could be causing this is the build in check for com_users / profile / save (option / view / task).

Do you have a menu item for editing the joomla user profile?

Sure, this menu item exists (available to registered users).
Btw, I did not install dev version of the component, just dev version of the plugin. Isn't it a reason?

Hi, required change is in plugin.
Currently offline but I can debug tomorrow: is it possible to have access to your dev site?
