Experiencing a 401 Unauthorized Error During Update?

If you're seeing a 401 Unauthorized error when trying to update your Joomla extension, it's likely due to our new two-factor authentication (2FA) security measure for your Download ID.
To resolve this, check your email (Spam folder?) for a message to approve your server or device, or read our detailed blog post here( onlinecommunityhub.nl/best-practice/new-...-extension-downloads) to understand the steps involved. This will guide you through approving your server for future updates.

Unable to renew subscription on checkout was created by Sander Vancanneyt
It's impossible to renew my ochJSsocials subscription; everything is filled in and payment method selected but clicking 'proceed to payment' does not work, no errors button just doesn't do anything. Tried in Safari and Chrome, both same result.
Can this be fixed so the subscription can be renewed?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sander, thanks for reaching out.
That is not good, got another report of this behavior last week but also got succesful renewals so this something I need to do a deep dive in.
Do you get any info / warnings / errors in the browser console?
If so could you provide these?
I will try to reproduce myself tomorrow morning. In the meantime I will keep your submission active.

Thanks,
Ruud

I’ve checked the console before reporting but beside info messages of things clicked no warnings or errors in the console.

I think I'm on to something here, was able to reproduce (not on my dev site, but only on my production site in combination with chrome browser).
I did a small change and now what i was able to reproduce works correct.
Really hope that this also fixes it for you.
If you could give it another go and report back here that would be great.

in the meantime keeping my fingers crossed :)

Thanks for reporting back Sander, also for reporting and hanging in there.
This is, as it turns out to be, one of those difference between FireFox (which I always use) and Chrome in handling form submission. It had to do with server resonse times (as if it wasn't complicated enough): my dev server has lower hardware specs and there it worked, but my production server is faster to respond and chrome didn't 'like' that and 'acted' as nothing had happened.

Glad to have fixed this! Will extend your subscription with three months of subscription time, just so you know I really appreciate it!

Regards,
Ruud.
