Hi Frode,
I checked both sites. both have ochOpenGraph installed and activated, but because the homepage is not an article (like a featured articles view), there is not image found.
So what happens next is that ochOpenGraph would use the fallback image, but that is not configured?
I know this because when yougo to the page source (ctrl-u in your browser), then you see the og: tags set. When you search that page for og:image then you will see that is is not set.
What happens when you share this page on facebook is that facebook first eads the og: tags and uses these, but because to og:image is missing it will try to find a suitable image itself on the page, this can be the log, or another image. if that image is suitable (facebook checks amongst others the size and dimensions), then it will be displayed.
So how to solve this?
You either configure a fallback image in ochOpenGraph: this image will be used when no (suitable) image is found. This is advised to always configure.
and you go to your home menu and then in tab 'ochOpenGraph Integration' you set the image that should be used on the home menu.
now best to check if this is now working is by clearing cache (if enabled) and check the page source for og:image.
Do not test with sharing on facebook as facebook caches what you shared so if it was not okay and you fixed it, then facebook will still display the wrong info / image.
You can use the facebook share debugger to clear the cache, but looking directly at the page source is easier
can you give that a try?

Hi Frode,
on the pages provided all tags are correct.
Facebook debugger for the test site works without issue, but for production it is not able to fetch the content. It gets a 403 (forbidden).
That means that your server blocks facebook. This can be on different levels, most likely a firewall.
It is NOT blocking the request by user agent string, because when I mimic my fetch as if it was from facebook I get a 200 (the page loads okay).
So facebook is being blocked on IP.
you can try to disable ochSimpleFirewall and run the facebook debugger again for the site (to make sire ochSimpleFirewall is not the one doing the blocking)
If you still get a 403 then the issue needs to be addressed on your hosting panel (if you have access to the hosting firewall / modsecurity rules). Otherwise you need to take this up with you hosting provider.
The last info link you send could be the same cause as you are having.
Let me know what results you get.
Regards,
Ruud.

Hi Ruud,
Sorry for the late replay, there's a lot going on. We have finally fixed it!
Disabling ochSimpleFirewall didn't help. Then I contacted our host provider, but they couldn't find anything and pointed us back to Joomla. Then I disabled Admin Tools Pro temporarily, which made OG work again. So the problem was narrowed down to that extension. I compared the settings on the ok site and the failing site, and found no differences. Then I tried reinstalling Admin Tools. And that did it! Maybe something that wasn't properly installed the first time.
Anyway it's good now, and thanks for your help.
Regards,
Frode

Hi Frode,
good to hear this was solved.
AdminTools must have been blocking something from facebook I guess: starting over (uninstalling and installing) also clears all blocks.
closing this one,
feel free to open a new topic when questions, suggestions or issue arise.
regards,
Ruud.
