Experiencing a 401 Unauthorized Error During Update?
If you're seeing a 401 Unauthorized error when trying to update your Joomla extension, it's likely due to our new two-factor authentication (2FA) security measure for your Download ID.
To resolve this, check your email (Spam folder?) for a message to approve your server or device, or read our detailed blog post here(
onlinecommunityhub.nl/best-practice/new-...-extension-downloads) to understand the steps involved. This will guide you through approving your server for future updates.

How to have the French translation for the buttons? werd gestart door Amar Guillen
Hi,
I just purchased ochSocials for my website. It works well.
I have a multilanguage website: English and French.
I read in your documentation that the French language is available.
How can I translate the text of the social network buttons in French (and of course keep the actual value in English for my English version).
Thanks your reply
Regards
Amar Guillen

Hi Amar,
Thanks for the subscription.
When installing the plugin automatically installs all the languages that are available.
When you visit the front end (or backend) and you visit the french version of your site, then the french version of the language files for ochJSsocials is automatically used.
This is how Joomla works, ochJSsocials makes use of that language feature.
If the translation is not correct, or is correct but you want to translate it differently, then you can do so via a language override (in Joomla backend)

Good morning Amar,
so here we go
1. in back-end: extensions > languages > overrides
2. filer dropdown 'Select Language & Client' > Select the (site) language in your case FR-fr
3. click [New]
in the new / edit screen you can search for either a value or constant. In this case select 'constant' (wait for the indez to be created and then search for: PLG_CONTENT_JSSOCIALS_LABEL_FACEBOOK
A list of search results is displayed, just click one of them (doesn't matter which one) and the values are ported to the left side of the screen.
in the left side of the screen you can now set a new value (Text field).
That is it
This is Joomla generic so this work for all extensions / Joomla core.
Please let me know if this worked for you.
regards,
Ruud.

Hi Ruud,
thank you very much for your quick reply and the quality of your answer. I appreciate.
It works fine. That is perfect.
A last question. Is there a documentation describing the process? Did I miss something because I did not read anything related to that?
Thanks for all

Hi Amar, thanks for the feedback. Good to hear it is working
no, you didn't miss anything as what we did (the language override) is not a ochJSsocials feature, but is a core Joomla feature. My documentation covers settings for the plugin not for Joomla
Languages are contributed by the community, so somebody did a full translation (in this case into french) and 'donated' that translation.
Parcque mon français c'est ne pas perfect )) I cannot check if the translation is 100% okay: I just say 'merci beaucoup' and add the files to my install package.
So it is the french translater who translated the share button to 'share'

Hi Ruud,
thank you for your reply.
I did not that trick. Usually, I override a string to translate it in French (for example for my template). I learned something new.
I discovered your extension by the French Joomla forum. You are very appreciated. I regret to not having find you thru the Joomla JED.
At least, now, I know you for future extensions.
Thanks for all

Spread the word
as for the language override: this is the preferred way as it preserves your changes, when you make the changes by e.g. changing the language files themselves, the changes will be overwritten when an update is done.
