Experiencing a 401 Unauthorized Error During Update?
If you're seeing a 401 Unauthorized error when trying to update your Joomla extension, it's likely due to our new two-factor authentication (2FA) security measure for your Download ID.
To resolve this, check your email (Spam folder?) for a message to approve your server or device, or read our detailed blog post here(
onlinecommunityhub.nl/best-practice/new-...-extension-downloads) to understand the steps involved. This will guide you through approving your server for future updates.

I need help for a newbie here....
I guess everything is OK with my ochAddAds installation and AdSense account (I have Automatic Ads disabled in my AdSense account and snippets are inserted in the current template).
But I simply can't find the <ins class="adsbygoogle" [...] </ins> part of the Ad Unit code.
Please forgive my dumbness.

thanks for your subscription and reaching out.
Could you try to order the ochAddAds plugin in the first position?
You can find that setting (is a default Joomla plugin setting) in the plugin configuration and then on the rightside 'ordering´, in the drop down you can select 'first'.
Looks like some other extension (?) is removing the {ochaddads ... code.
let me know if this fixes it.
regards,
Ruud.

But that did not work.
I saved the plugin as first but when we open it again it stays with "System Guided Tours" plugin, even if we disable the latter.
Please check the attached screenshots.
Kind regards!

Do you have a (test) site that I can have access to to check what is causing the conflict / why it is not working.
Screenshots do not provide enough information to troubleshoot this.
You can send information via email (info[at]onlinecommunityhub[dot]nl) or here on the forum in the private message tab

fixed it for you. It was in the configuration (need to check if i can make instructions more clear).
In the positions where the ads should be displayed you need to add the complete tag: { ochaddads id="1"} instead of only the '1'
It now works, although the ads show empty, but that is probably due to google not showing any ads to me / in the dev environment.
Can you check on your side if it is working correct now?
regards,
Ruud.

But still all I get are empty ad spaces, both on dev and prod sites.
Still lost here.
Kind regards!

as you can see in the image, everything is working correct: the provided <ins> element is replaced by the google ads script with then content / iframe that shows the ad.
So this part is working correct: the script works, and loads the google iframe that displays the ad. What is displayed in the iframe is not on your server but is on the google server (the ifram can be seen as a 'window' to another website / server).
So the question is : why is google not displaying any ads?
Did you 'authorize' your site (inculding the dev site) in google adSense manager?
You need to do this (it is done by placing an ads.txt file in the root of your sites with a code provided by google). If the site is not authorized, then google will not show any ads.
So in google adsense manager > sites > add new site (and follow instructions)

Unfortunately, it is not working.
ads.txt is in place on both prod and dev (under public_html root folder)
But Google does not find it.
Oddly enough, when I turn on "automatic ads" on AdSense, ads gets displayed elsewhere (not on positions set by your plugin.
Please check the attached screenshots.
