No bug More characters in description for facebook

Hello
When sharing a facebook url, the description that appears on the FB wall for the post is very short.
Is it possible to get facebook to load more content ?

Hi,

this is not something we can influence. We provide a longer description to use but facebook itself trims it to fit on one line. There is (as far as I know) no setting for this that we can pass to facebook.

Hi Rafael,
so I searched some more on the internet and browsed through the official Facebook developers documentation to see if the length of that description can be altered.
There is no listing of a parameter / setting we can use here.

Facebook advises to keep the length of the description to max two sentences, it then trims it down to one line when they display it when shared.

So currently nothing we can do to change that.

I will keep an eye out if I run into something in the future regarding this, if in the meantime you find something regarding this feel free to share.
