No bug Normal users adding product to the cart and can't buy

Hello,

Normal users when adding product to the cart, then it redirected to the home page and it can't buy the product. When the user try to buy the product he is redidirected to www.example.org/component/ochsubscriptions/checkout

Do-you have an idea to what's going on ?

Hi, can you create a (hidden) menu item to the checkout page and check also very that it is set to public rights.

1°) I have created an item menu pointing ot checkout with acess only to admin, then when i add somtehing in the cart i was able then to access to this checkout menu
2°) I can't access options under ochSubscriptions: Control Panel, it hangs for some time and then show cloudflare error page

the checkout should be set to 'public' as otherwise only users logged in with admin rights cab access the checkout. That is not what you want. When a regular visitor adds something to the shoppingbasket (checkout page) he should be able to display that page > so that is why that page should have public view access.

As for the options in ochSubscriptions: this is very strange as basically it is a regular options page and has no logic on it when opening (other then displaying the settings). For me on first open it takes longer then on the second open, never investigated what is going on under the hood as to why it takes longer and what it is it is actually doing. Will dive into this.

I think that on your site this just took to long and you got a time out (presented by cloudflare?)

I have tested two times just one after the other to access the options menu, i still the timeout error from cloudflare after 20 or 30 seconds to wait

Let me check this tomorrow what Joomla is doing to display the options. Will follow up here.
Maybe you can try to go into Joomla global options, and then in the side bar select ochSubscriptions. Maybe that makes a difference?

just did several tests on different sites and I'm unable to reproduce this 'delay'. The only think that could impact 'performance' on the options is the information on the permissions tab as that calculates things based on users and user groups which are 'variable' and can be extensive. But then you should also see the same delay on other components as ochSubscriptions does nothing out of the ordinairy.

I sniffed traffic when going into options and it loads quit a lot of joomla core scripts / css / icons but that is also not different then other extensions. As said ochSubscriptions options are core joomla via a config.xml file. nothing more / nothing less. So currently no clue as to why it delays so much that your site times out.

Can I ask to have back-end access to see if maybe on your site i can detect something that is taking a lot of time?
