Experiencing a 401 Unauthorized Error During Update?
If you're seeing a 401 Unauthorized error when trying to update your Joomla extension, it's likely due to our new two-factor authentication (2FA) security measure for your Download ID.
To resolve this, check your email (Spam folder?) for a message to approve your server or device, or read our detailed blog post here(
onlinecommunityhub.nl/best-practice/new-...-extension-downloads) to understand the steps involved. This will guide you through approving your server for future updates.

Locked out of administrator area was created by Arhon Ankhkara
Purchased OCH Firewell today. I set everything up, and everything appeared to be working fine, but when I setup the 'Administrator Area Protection' I got instantly locked out. ie. just shows a 404 Article not found error.
Please advise

Hi Arhon,
sorry to hear you got locked out of the admin area.
Did you get a screen / popup asking for the username / password you configured in the plugin?
It shows directly when saving the configuration of the plugin.
When closing this popup you will not be able to enter your administrator area.
You can try to load the administrator area in a new browser session (to avoid caching).
If that doesn't work you need to remove (ore rename it to ave a backup) the .htaccess file from your administrator directory (via your host panel or ftp). When you do that, the administrator protection is removed.
It is currently evening here and tomorrow I am out all day, so maybe not very responsive to requests. Let me know if the above tips help.
regards,
Ruud.

Hi Ruud,
thank you for your prompt response.
After saving the configurations it automatically took me to the 404 error. However, after renaming the .htaccess file the pop did show and I was able to login and deactivate the Administrator Admin Protection feature.
When inspecting the server, I did not see .htpasswd file present (as referred). Also, when looking at the .htaccess file content I could not see any extra related script added, so wonder if it is a permission issue?

Good morning Athon,
Good to hear you are able to login again.
Permissions 644 are okay.
Today I am offline most part of the day, is it okay ifI have a look tomorrow when back at the office?
I don't want to run the risk of breaking things and not being able to login
Regards,
Ruud
