Integration with Trustpilot auto sending email was created by Dmitrijs Rekuns
Hi Ruud,
There is another idea I'd like to share with you which is definitely might be very useful for business.
Trustpilot is a popular platform to review products/services. There is Automatic Feedback service which can be very useful.
You can have a look at this article:
How to use Automatic Feedback Service:
support.trustpilot.com/hc/en-us/articles...ic-Feedback-Service-
According to the video from the documentation, it should not be too complicated. But needs time to investage everything, of course.

Just imagine: a user buys the product via OchSubs, then after 7 days an automatic email to be sent from Trustpilot to that customer.
And here is the test email which customer receives:

It is just an idea for future. But it could help to automatize collecting reviews from happy customers.
Would you be interested to consider such implementation in future?

Thank you.

Regards,
Eugene

Hi,
this look like a good integration possiblity.
Currently I use AcyMailing for this.
So when a user subscribes he becomes member of a acymailing list and on that list is a 'campaign' that triggers a sequence of mails.
Difference here being that in my setup i can ask them to post a review on the JED (which they then probably will not do :S) where this will lead them directly to the TrustPilot site (when they click the link (which they probably wont do hahahah).

I will for sure have a look at this.

Hi Eugene,
looked at the trustpilot documentation and I think that this is already possible without any changes / integration.
When you have a trustpilot account, you also have a trustpilot email address specific for your account.
When you configure the ochSubscriptions template 'email-payment-success' (as an example, but it can be any template send to customer on checkout), to send a BBC to that trustpilot email account.
trust pilot will receive that email and queue a review mail for that customer to be send 7 days later.

Dear Ruud,
Thank you for your time on investigation this task/idea.
I came to the conclusion that using this method which Trustpilot is offering is not just not nice, but it is wrong.
They offer to send an invoice with private information about the order to them directly. Big data company collects the information and make statistics. I do not like it and clients from EU will not be happy to know about that.
So, it is better just to send a simple email after 7 days with custom text without Trustpilot snippet. If a user is ready to write a feedback, they'll do that, it is enough just to inform him at once. :-)
Yes, I understand that AcyMailing can help. On other hand, their system plugin makes a lot of queries and there is no way to disable it on the front-end. I just noticed it when we enabled debug.
I thought: maybe it's better to use Mailchimp for standard newsletters about recent news.
But AcyMailing helps with automatic sending of campaigns like sending a email with tutorial about the product which was purchased and the 2nd email is a suggestion to vote at the JED.

just curious: do you have any plans to extend OchSubs with extra email templates? E.g. one product = one custom email. This will let to avoid using of Acymailing.
Maybe I ask too much :-) Just a question about future plans.

Best regards,
Eugene

I understand the privacy risk, that is why I suggested the thank you email (which doesn't have the invoicing data other then the customer name / email).

regarding new templates. You can add templates yourself and then use e.g. a plugin that acts on one of the triggered events to send the mail template etc.

I think using the triggered events is the most comprehensive way to extend functionality without building it into the product (and maintaining etc.)
